Position: Director of Product (Design and User Experience)

Company Profile

Founded in 2012 in Atlanta, GA, (USA) ChartRequest is a healthcare information technology and services company specializing in electronic medical record fulfillment, outsourced medical record fulfillment, and referral management solutions.

Our core values are embodied on the ChartRequest PATH: being Polite & Respectful Problem Solvers, Accountable, Trustworthy Team Players, and consistently Helpful.

We leverage innovation to deliver automated, HIPAA-compliant solutions that empower healthcare organizations—including physician practices, urgent care platforms, imaging centers, community hospitals, and integrated delivery networks—to streamline their operations and reduce overhead. Our secure, electronic ROI platform also serves legal firms, insurance companies, ERE users, and other requestors managing sensitive information. Since inception, we've securely managed over 10 million requests for protected health information, currently serving over 12,000 providers nationwide.

Opportunity

We’re seeking a visionary, experienced Director of Product (Design and User Experience) to lead our product design, user experience, and strategic product initiatives. The ideal candidate is a talented Product Designer or UX expert who has significant experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, and Product Management, and is looking to take their career to the next level.

In this key leadership role, you will drive our 16-step product development lifecycle—from stakeholder interviews, business requirements, user-journey mapping, design, development, quality assurance, through deployment, communication, and continuous improvement. You will champion user-centric design and ensure exceptional user experiences that fuel ChartRequest's product-led growth strategy.

You will report directly to the SVP of Operations, and partner closely with the Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to deliver innovative, impactful solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

Design & User Experience Leadership:

  • Lead and enhance the user experience and design practice at ChartRequest, guiding UX strategy and delivering intuitive, user-centered designs.
  • Own product design lifecycle from stakeholder discovery and user-journey mapping to wireframes, prototypes, user testing, and production-ready design assets.
  • Ensure consistent quality and user-experience excellence across all product releases.

Cross-Functional Team Leadership:

  • Directly manage and mentor a cross-functional team of Product Analysts, Product Designers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless, compliant, and timely product releases.
  • Facilitate clear, effective product-led communication with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to drive adoption and retention.

Strategic Product Ownership:

  • Lead strategic product planning, roadmap development, and product prioritization informed by user research, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Regularly communicate product updates and roadmap changes to executive leadership and internal stakeholders clearly and proactively.
  • Facilitate the Product Advisory Council to gather actionable insights directly from end-users and industry experts.

Process & Operational Excellence:

  • Own and continually optimize ChartRequest’s clearly-defined, 16-step Product Development Operating System.
  • Implement structured product processes, checklists, Jira templates, and documentation systems across Figma, HubSpot, Google Drive, Confluence, GitHub Actions, and TesQuirel BREEZ.
  • Facilitate weekly LVL10 departmental meetings, ensuring clear accountability, effective Rock setting, and process discipline.

Market & Competitive Insight:

  • Conduct user and market research to inform UX strategies, product positioning, and roadmap development.
  • Perform competitive analysis to maintain ChartRequest’s market leadership and identify new opportunities clearly.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years in B2B SaaS Product Design, User Experience, or Product Management, ideally in healthcare or highly regulated industries.
  • 5+ years managing and mentoring Product Design and Product Management professionals.
  • Significant experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or UX Designer.
  • Proven expertise with design tools (Figma preferred), Jira, Confluence, and related systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with agile methodologies, including EOS, LVL10 Meetings, and Rock setting (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify and clearly communicate complex product ideas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, highly detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.

Compensation

  • Competitive management-level salary and quarterly incentive performance bonuses aligned with product and business objectives.

Why ChartRequest?

  • Growth-oriented Culture: Clear advancement paths, internal promotions, and leadership opportunities supported by the Rising Stars Program and ChartRequest OS.
  • Collaborative Environment: Join a supportive, cross-functional team committed to helping each other succeed and grow.
  • Impactful Work: Play a pivotal role in defining the future of healthcare technology and transforming experiences for healthcare providers nationwide.
