Our Instructors are the first line of support for students studying on our Data Science program. As an instructor, you will help students with no previous experience go through the materials of our 8-month program with the help of our AI Learning Assistant bot.

Assisted by our AI bot at some parts of the program, you will be answering student questions about program materials, helping students fix mistakes in their projects and exercises. You will also be advising students on best industry practices on how to complete their work, and providing “human” expertise that might be outside of the scope of our AI bot. Finally, you will be training and providing feedback on the AI bot to improve its work.

Requirements:

• Ability to collaborate Monday - Sunday, 8AM to 2 AM EST, shift-based;
• You possess a good level of written English — our students are Americans, many of our team members are natives, so it’s necessary to have a good level of English;
• You are careful with communication, can structure your thoughts, and love helping people.

We appreciate it if you:

• Have 1+ year of experience in Data Science (experience with Python, basics of Machine Learning, advanced SQL knowledge);
• Can explain topics in Data Science in a way that is understandable for students (how to work with data, data visualization, appropriate syntax).

You are an exceptional candidate if you also have:

• Teaching or tutoring experience;
• Have your own experience as a student online, and the desire to help create the best place in the world to study;
• Business Intelligence Analytics Experience in deeper DS concepts (such as Computer Vision and Sentiment Analysis).

What you will do:

• Communicate with students on Discord in text; you’ll be dealing with different questions from students including a deeper explanation of theory, helping with code debugging, helping understanding the task, pointing out difference between concepts, supporting and navigating students in their projects (SLA for response time: 15 mins);
• Validate the answers of our AI Learning Assistance bot to the students in some parts of the program, correcting the bot’s answers if necessary (SLA for response time: 15 mins);
• Report feedback on the AI Learning Assistance bot’s answers and overall work;
• Occasionally, answer questions in Direct Messages from students on Discord or proactively reaching out to students in Direct Messages based on the support team’s requests (SLA for response time: 1 day);
• Occasionally, communicate with the team and report students that might need more in-depth help on a topic.
