Work-life balanceWork-life balance at Aggreko is definitely greatPay & benefitsMy pay and benefits at Aggreko are greatJob security and advancementIn terms of job security at Aggreko, I think if you don’t fit in the click you’re out. No matter if your work performance is great.ManagementIn general, managers at Aggreko barely seen. Maybe they were out have the time or smoking cigarettes.CultureCollaboration with my colleagues at Aggreko is foul. New Iberia location. Some workers curse a lot. Can’t count on one how many times the ladies training me used the F word.OverallMy experience working at Aggreko training was nice but very rushed. If you can pick up the tracing in a week or fit in the click in New Iberia you are out.
Great people, very dynamic working environment. Lots of opportunity for travel. Reasonable pay and working conditions. Work life balance is non existent at times, extremely lean business model that requires most employees to wear multiple hats in a day (account manager, bill collector, project manager, on call for service etc etc etc) All in it was a good place to spend nearly 8 years and look back fondly. My only complaint is they want to compete with other players in the market but are unwilling to commit completely. We regularly didn’t have equipment to meet urgent demands, and the pricing structure was way out to lunch. Aggreko does big and complicated projects better than anyone in the world but trips overIt’s own feet trying to secure and revive a smallConstruction project.
Great training, travel, people
Heavy work load, no work life balance, unrealistic expectations
This company makes you use your vacation time for doctor’s appointments. No paid sick time. Slow parts movement, can’t get job completed in a timely manner.
Good benefits, great people to work with.
No paid sick time. Poor parts requisition, slows up job completion.
The good times have passed, now, current management is driving the company, the culture and the staff to the ground
In the early days Aggreko used to be a great company, with the work hard play hard culture, people understood and accepted it. Now new management and legacy management that have survived more than 4 restructuring processes over the last 4 years since the old CEO left, are just crunching numbers to make ends meet, layoffs every single year, offices deserted as people are laid off and more work is piled on existing staff. Legacy management, given their years are untouchable and they play the politics game, convincing new higher ups of their worth and spending money like water. When the bill comes, they just pass on the blame, fire someone else and sweep the blame under the rug.Sadly the good old days of Aggreko are long gone. If you think I´m lying, just take a quick look at the stock price in 2010, 2013 and then the continuous drop until today, is math is not my appreciation.
pay, challenges, employees holing on to previous culture
Management, current vision, culture killers, uncontrolled spending

Your vehicle is constantly being tracked to see your whereabout. State Sales Managers will use your vehicle activity to justify your poor performance if you dont hit your number. Best advice i could give candidate is make sure you find out how much your manager know about the industry and test their technical background if you can. You cannot succeed in a job if all your Sales Manager know is Micro-Management.
Reliable product, reputable Brand
Vehicle being tracked constantly, Micro Management, exaggerated bonuses, top Management knows nothing about lower hierachy being treated
The company and the people are dull, the people don’t talk to one another, And the ones that have been there a long time aren’t friendly. It could be because the turnover is high in a cubicle culture, maybe they don’t expect to see you for long. The benefits are average, nothing special. It’s a cubicle environment and people go there to work, there is no relationship-building at this company. Extremely boring culture.
Your schedule is 9-5, so work life balance
Boring, not an interesting culture, low pay, no advancement
A typical day begins with a toolbox talk before work commences, then you proceed to achieving and working on the day's target. Normally safety is number one priority for all persons on site and protective gears are a must have while in the production area. The work is iterative and the hardest part of the job is when there is any lapse in the safety controls at any time. The rest of the work is enjoyable and the most enjoyable one is when your competing in games like cricket, football or volley ball during tournament times.
Free break tea
Strict safety procedures
During the time I worked for Aggreko I was well trained, very good chances for promotion within the company. If you like travelling and seeing the world and working with people from all backgrounds and cultures and being trained at the same time ,then this is the ideal company to work for.
The people in Aggreko are nice and friendly, but the typical corporate structure allows unqualified people to gain promotion through friends. Management moves jobs around the globe at whim and you need to uproot and relocate quickly to keep your job. Management is very uncaring, promises a lot, but only focuses on cost You feel like family until you are no longer needed, then you are disposable and shown the door. Once you are terminated you are treated as an enemy to the company, with legal threats if you contact current employees in any way.
